“For in the end, it is all about memory, its sources and its magnitude, and, of course, its consequences.”
There is nothing I can possibly come up with to say that will correctly portray my feelings on this day. In 2001, I was in eighth grade. Just old enough to understand something horrible was happening, but not old enough to feel the entire magnitude of it.
I send my thoughts out into the universe to all who lost their lives that day, to those who lost their loved ones, those who serve in the military, and to all the rest who call this country home.
Let us leave politics and personal beliefs aside for a day, and give our due respect. Remember.
“There are victories of the soul and spirit. Sometimes, even if you lose, you win. ”
Quotes by Elie Wiesel

Thank you for posting this one here. This date’s become indelible and ever since I saw “11″ on my calendar I’ve been trying to write something, but it’s just too much to take even now….
I know, it’s rough.
On this day in 2001 i was just paroled and was living in a halfway house. I was with my counselor who though it was an internet hoax and he did not even know what the twin towers were. Against permission I yelled for all the ex-cons and counselors to run to the day room where I turned on the T.V, which was a no-no. needless to say after everyone figured out what was really going I was was relived from being in trouble. This will be a say all Americans will remember for the rest of our lives, and will remember exactly where they were when it happened. Just like us younger peoples’ parents remember where they were when JFK was shot. When I got done with the halfway house I became an Iron Worker. So this action had more than a negative effect on my life.
Woah. Thanks for sharing that story with me.
